Technical Specifications. How to Write It Correctly?Let's start with the basics. A technical specification is a document that describes in detail the goals, requirements, structure, functions, and conditions of a project or task for the contractor. You don't necessarily need to create a separate document for this, but a technical specification implies a detailed description of what you want, from characters to background details.
This will help save time and make the order easier.
Here are a few tips:
⭢ Character. Include reference (if available), other character arts, or, if you don't have reference, describe it in detail. If you have a character lore, include a few facts about the character, including their behavior, habits, favorite color, food, clothing, and interactions with another character (if there is a second character). Describe the character's pose, emotions (furrowed brow, pouting lips), hand position and body position. Character features (small belly, chubby fingers, large eyes)
⭢ Scene. Describe the location in advance and also include photos/references. Are there any animals? Side characters? (Crowds, other "non-human" characters) Is there wind or other weather conditions in the background?
⭢ Light and shadow. What tones do you want the work to have? Where is the light coming from? What color scheme would work? Describe what you want to see in the overall picture. Sadness? Grief? Calm? Flashbacks?
⭢ Format size.
And most importantly, if you can avoid describing your idea in detail, keep unnecessary information to a minimum (for example, I don't need your character's full backstory, etc.). Keep it brief and to the point.
Remember, I draw in my own style and at my own pace! If I have a long queue and you need the art urgently, you'll have to pay extra. Edits are a paid art? Please check the price list. All the best ღღღ
